"Best of the Midwest" Coming to CommunityAmerica Ballpark

03/30/2006 10:19 AM - KANSAS CITY – Creighton University, University of Kansas, Kansas State University, University of Missouri, Missouri State and Southeast Missouri State will compete in the second annual “Best of the Midwest” college baseball tournament, to be held April 25-26 at the home of the Kansas City T-Bones, CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, KS. The tournament will be hosted by the Kansas City Sports Commission and the T-Bones.

The tournament will consist of two games on April 25th and three games April 26th, and the full game schedule is available below. “We’re thrilled to be able to play this tournament at a venue as beautiful as CommunityAmerica Ballpark,” said University of Kansas Head Baseball Coach Ritch Price. “Having this location in place has allowed the tournament to grow and attract some of the best programs from around the region.”

“We're excited to be able to partner with the Sports Commission to offer quality collegiate baseball excitement to the fans in Kansas City,” remarked Rick Muntean, T-Bones Vice President/General Manager. Game Schedule for Tuesday, April 25, 2006: Kansas – Southeast Missouri State 3 pm; Creighton – Missouri 7 pm
Game Schedule for Wednesday, April 26, 2006: Missouri – SEMO 12 pm; Kansas – Creighton 3 pm; Kansas State – Missouri State 7pm.
