The Kansas City T-Bones got two home runs from newcomer Brian Joynt (pictured) as they earned a 6-5 victory over the Grand Prairie AirHogs on Wednesday night in Topeka, KS.

Grand Prairie struck first against Dewon Brazelton, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI double by David Espinosa.  The AirHogs used a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly in the second frame to push their lead to 3-0.

Brazelton surrendered three runs on six hits in his three innings of work.

Joynt reached safely on a catcher’s interference in his first at bat and later scored when Eladio Rodriguez grounded into a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the second.  In the bottom of the fourth, Joynt brought the T-Bones within one with his first home run, a two-out solo shot.

After T-Bones hurler Andrew Cruse posted three scoreless innings to keep the deficit at one, Jake Bradshaw collected an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at three.  Brett Davis added a perfect seventh inning before giving way to Josh Wahpepah in the eighth.  Grand Prairie struck for two runs, one earned, on two hits and an error against the right-hander to retake the lead, 5-3.

Luke Prihoda entered for the AirHogs and put two runners on with a double and infield single.  Joynt followed with his second home run of the contest, pushing the final total to 6-5.

Wahpepah picked up the victory for Kansas City.  Justin James threw a scoreless ninth to earn the save.  Joynt finished two-for-two with four RBI in the game.
