The Kansas City T-Bones (11-5) defeated the Joliet JackHammers (9-8), 9-3, Sunday evening in front of 5,009 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The JackHammers jumped on Kansas City starter Brett Davis (1-1) early, scoring three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run home run by Freddie Thon.  The T-Bones answered with three runs of their own off Joliet starter Devin Anderson (0-1) in the second on a three-run home run by Ryan Fox.

Kansas City took the lead in the third on RBI singles by Sadler (pictured) and Fasano.  The T-Bones added another in the frame when Sadler scored on an error.  Anderson exited following the inning, allowing six runs, five earned, on five hits while walking two in the loss.

Sadler drove in two more T-Bones runs in the fifth with a single that plated Jacob Blackwood and Rico Washington, giving Kansas City the 8-3 lead.

Keanon Simon singled in the sixth, plating Jimmy Mojica and extending the T-Bones lead to 9-3.  Simon has now reached base in all 16 Kansas City games this season.

Davis gave way to Steven Stewart following the seventh, earning the victory after allowing three runs on five hits over seven innings while striking out five and walking two.  The JackHammers managed just two hits after the first inning off Davis.

Stewart worked the eighth inning, allowing one hit, and Justin James threw a scoreless ninth to finish the game.

Kansas City begins a seven-game road trip Monday as they travel to Winnipeg for four games before heading to Fargo-Moorhead for three.  Ryan Knippschild starts game one against the Goldeyes and Ace Walker.  Catch all the action through streaming webcast at www.tbonesbaseball.com or on the radio at KXTR 1660 AM.
