Ka’aihue hit his first home run off Ryan Mitchell (3-4) in the first inning, driving in three runs to cap off a four-run inning that gave Kansas City a 4-0 lead. Aharon Eggleston drove in two more runs with a single in the third to hand the T-Bones a six-run advantage.

Amarillo broke through with a run in the fourth inning against Kris Johnson (2-2) on a sacrifice fly by Lee Cruz. The Sox added two more on a double by Fehlandt Lentini in the fifth to pull within three, 6-3.

That was all Johnson would allow as he surrendered six hits over seven innings in the victory.

Kansas City added single tallies in the seventh and eighth innings to cap the score at 9-3. Drew Graham allowed one hit over two scoreless innings to finish the game for Kansas City.

In his last two games, Ka’aihue is four-for-seven with four home runs and 10 RBI.
