Congratulations to former T-Bones pitcher (and Kansas City area native) Kris Johnson, who was called up by the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday and is scheduled to pitch Thursday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Johnson, whom the Twins acquired from Pittsburgh in November, made his Major League debut with the Pirates last season. In four starts this season for triple-A Rochester, Johnson has a 2.86 ERA.

“The T-Bones family is thrilled for the progression of Kris’s career,” said T-Bones president Adam Ehlert. “It’s especially inspirational as our spring training camp opens, and I know our incoming players will appreciate his success.”

Johnson appeared in 16 games for the T-Bones in 2011.
