T-Bones Announce Fifth Anniversary Team

After recently completing its fifth season, the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League are excited to reveal their all-time team roster, as voted on by the fans over the course of 2007.

STARTING PITCHERS:

Jonathan Krysa
Career T-Bones statistics: 30 wins, 3.98 ERA, 11 complete games, 547 innings pitched, 445 strikeouts
Krysa holds T-Bones franchise records in appearances (90), starts (79), innings (547), and strikeouts, (445). He holds the single-season franchise record in starts (tied-24) and posted three of the top five single-season strikeout performances in franchise history. He also owns the single-game franchise record for strikeouts in a game with 13 on September 3, 2005 at Calgary. Krysa had the best pitching performance in team history, throwing a two-hit shutout versus Fargo on June 2, 2006 and is the only T-Bone to win Northern League Pitcher of the Year, doing so in 2006. He posted the second-highest innings pitched total in a season in Northern League history with 165.1 in 2004.

Greg Bicknell
Career T-Bones statistics: 36 wins, 3.53 ERA, 13 complete games, 466 innings pitched, 322 strikeouts

Jon McDonald
Career T-Bones statistics: 15 wins, 3.37 ERA, two complete games, 272 innings pitched, 156 strikeouts

RELIEF PITCHER:

Byron Embry
Career T-Bones statistics: four wins, 1.27 ERA, 14 saves, 35 innings pitched, 51 strikeouts
Embry posted the third highest single-season franchise save total with 14 in 2006. He is just one game away from tying the Northern League career record for appearances by a pitcher at 206 (sits at 205).

CATCHER:

Craig Hurba
Career T-Bones statistics: .269 batting average, 18 home runs, 47 RBI, 20 doubles, four triples, 93 hits
Hurba is tied for second for games played in a single season (95).

FIRST BASE:

Eddie Pearson
Career T-Bones statistics: .326 batting average, 272 games played, 69 homeruns, 257 RBI, 41 doubles, 347 hits
Pearson holds franchise career records in games played (282), at-bats (1066), hits (347), home runs (69), and RBI (257). He is second in runs (176) and walks (123). Pearson is the franchise single-season record holder in RBI (94) and second in home runs (30). He is tied in single-game records for hits (five), doubles (three) and RBI (six). Pearson is the only T-Bone to hit three home runs in one game, doing so on August 6, 2004 versus Joliet. He is the only T-Bone to win the Northern League Player of the Year award, doing so in 2003.

SECOND BASE:

Rob Watson
Career T-Bones statistics: .343 batting average, 80 runs, 132 hits, 29 doubles, 72 RBI, .438 on-base percentage
In 2007, Watson posted the second-highest season hit total in franchise history with 132. He also reached safely in 47 of 48 home games, including 44 straight. He had career highs in every category but sac flies, HBP and caught stealing.

SHORTSTOP:

Chad Sosebee
Career T-Bones statistics: .235 batting average, 17 home runs, 83 RBI, 40 doubles, nine triples, 157 hits
Sosebee is the only T-Bones player in franchise history to play all 96 games in a season. He is tied for second in career triples with nine. He is tied with Pearson for most doubles in a game with three, accomplished on May 26, 2005 at Joliet. He is tied with Pearson and JD Foust for RBI in a game with six, done on August 9, 2006 at Joliet. Sosebee holds the record for stolen bases in a game with three, done on July 1, 2005 at Sioux City.

THIRD BASE:

Brandon Jones
Career T-Bones statistics: .238 batting average, 23 home runs, 81 RBI, 14 doubles, four triples, 121 hits

OUTFIELD:

Rick Prieto (pictured)
Career T-Bones statistics: .329 batting average, 18 home runs, 114 RBI, 62 doubles, 20 triples, 311 hits
Prieto is first on the career franchise leaders list in triples (20), runs (213) and walks (142). He is third on the career franchise leaders list in games played (241), at-bats (946) and doubles (62). He holds single-season franchise records in triples (10), runs (97) and walks (78). He is the only T-Bone to collect two triples in a game, doing so on two occasions. He is one of six T-Bones to post a five-hit game and is the only T-Bone in team history to hit for the cycle, doing so on June 20, 2003.

Greg Jacobs
Career T-Bones statistics: .340 batting average, 25 home runs, 107 RBI, 49 doubles, six triples, 200 hits
Jacobs is the only T-Bone to win the Northern League's Defensive Player of the Year award, doing so in 2006. He is in the top five in career franchise leaders in doubles, triples and walks.

Eric Vega
Career T-Bones statistics: .228 batting average, three home runs, 23 RBI, 13 doubles, 65 hits

DESIGNATED HITTER:

Calvin Pickering
Career T-Bones statistics: .310 batting average, 59 runs, 98 hits, 20 doubles, 18 home runs, 83 RBI, .437 on-base percentage
