Tryouts Successful at CommunityAmerica Ballpark

04/30/2007 4:46 PM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The T-Bones had a good turnout at CommunityAmerica Ballpark for the fifth annual open tryout. There were 42 players that showed up at the park, two of which were women.

“It was a great tryout,” said T-Bones manager Andy McCauley. “The players had a lot of talent and there was a high level of play.”

The 42 player field was cut to just 16 after the first day. Neither woman made the first cut.

“We offered two invites to spring training,” said McCauley. “Pending a physical we plan to sign Dusty Kane and Josiah Jones.”

The T-Bones spring training season opens Friday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark against the St. Joe Blacksnakes. First pitch is 7:00.
