The Kansas City T-Bones and manager Andy McCauley announced today that they have signed rookie pitcher Bobby Carrington.
Carrington, 24, attended Holyoke Community College and the University of New Haven before going to Northeastern University. Carrington pitched three years for NU, posting a 1-8 record with a 6.85 ERA in 37 career appearances.
Carrington finished his Husky career with four saves and 55 strikeouts in 86 and two-thirds innings. He threw three scoreless innings of relief this year to pick up a save in NU’s 4-2 victory against Western Michigan on March 6.
The T-Bones go on the road tomorrow to start their first set of three, three-games series against the Goldeyes, JackHammers and RedHawks. First game is against the Goldeyes at Winnipeg tomorrow. First pitch scheduled for 7:00. The T-Bones play in Kansas City again on July 4.
