10/30/2003 10:09 AM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. Winter is right around the corner, but for the baseball-starved legions of Kansas City T-Bones fans in the greater Kansas City area, it means baseball season will soon be upon us. With that in mind, the Kansas City T-Bones are announcing their 2004 Northern League schedule.
The expanded 48-game home season opens up at home on May 20th at CommunityAmerica Ballpark against the Lincoln Saltdogs, and the opening homestand will be eight games in length and feature many of the promotions and giveaways to which devoted T-Bones fans have become accustomed. Game times will remain the same as last season, with 7:05 p.m. home games Monday through Saturday and 5:05 p.m. Sunday games. Additionally, certain dates will be designated as Businessmans Special dates, bringing back the old-time tradition of afternoon baseball.
The Northern League has realigned for the 2004 season, meaning that the T-Bones are now members of the Southern Division along with the Schaumburg (IL) Flyers, Gary (IN) Southshore Railcats, Joliet (IL) Jackhammers, and the Lincoln (NE) Saltdogs. We are enthusiastic about the changes the Northern League has made in the off-season, commented Adam Ehlert, T-Bones General Manager. The competitive balance in the Southern Division should make for an exciting season for our fans.
After a successful inaugural campaign, the Kansas City T-Bones of the Northern League are eagerly preparing for their second season.
