The T-Bones proudly presented a check for $2,803 to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The money was raised from donations made by fans during the 2009 season. One method of collection was from birthday announcements, available at every T-Bones home game. During the contest, fans have the chance to have a birthday announcement made with a minimum $5 donation to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff and T-Bones fans for their support of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum,” said Greg Baker, Executive Director of the NLBM. “These funds will help the NLBM to carry forward its mission of promoting the lives, stories, and artifacts of the 2,600 men and women who played the game in the Negro Leagues. (The T-Bones staff and fans) are all so wonderful and thoughtful.”
