Over the coming months, CommunityAmerica Ballpark will undergo a variety of upgrades to prepare for the 2010 T-Bones and Wizards seasons. First, power washers will knock off the muck and grime left from the tough winter months, as well as give a fresh cleaning to the bathrooms at the stadium. Second, the carpets on the suite level will receive a fresh shampooing. These improvements are geared towards the Wizards home opener on Saturday, March 27.
CommunityAmerica Ballpark will also be receiving structural upgrades to its outfield walls and seating bowl. Head Groundskeeper and Facilities Manager for the T-Bones, Joey Fitzgerald, will be teaming up with the T-Bones Stadium Operations Manager, Rylan D. Brody, to replace the outfield wall padding and signage. In addition, Joey and Rylan will begin a three-phase repair process on the prime seating section at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in preparation for the T-Bones season.
Finally, the warning track’s drainage system will be upgraded as well.
“It’s an exciting time as this process means that baseball season is just around the corner,” said Joey. “We are taking the necessary steps to prepare for the T-Bones upcoming season.”
These enhancements will improve the look and feel of CommunityAmerica Ballpark for another great season of FUN…WELL DONE in 2010!
