Opening Weekend Begins May 28

The Kansas City T-Bones, playing their home games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, KS, throw out the first pitch of the 2010 home schedule on Friday, May 28 at 7:05 p.m.  That night, the first 2,000 T-Bones fans receive a free T-Bones shirt courtesy of CommunityAmerica Credit Union, and the first 5,000 fans can grab a magnet schedule from Providence Medical Center and Saint John Hospital.

Memorial Day weekend continues on Saturday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. as the T-Bones continue their three-game series with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.  Fans can stick around after the game for Post-Game Fireworks presented by Verizon.  On Sunday, May 30 at 5:05 p.m., select T-Bones players will be on hand to sign pre-game autographs, and the Midwest Dairy Association presents Post-Game Kids Run the Bases.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 at 7:05 p.m.,  make sure to bring the kids to the ballpark for Kids Eat FREE presented by CommunityAmerica Credit Union!  The first 2,000 kids 12 & under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, lemonade, and bag of chips!  Also enjoy a special edition of Post-Game Fireworks presented by Verizon.

Tuesday, June 1 is Animal Awareness Night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.  Prior to the T-Bones 7:05 p.m. game against the expansion Lake County Fielders, fans are invited to visit with various local animal shelters and their four-legged friends.  Agents from the shelters will be on hand to answer any questions about the pet adoption process.  Also that night, the first 2,500 fans get a free T-Bones cap!

The first homestand of the season concludes with a day game on June 2, with first pitch set for 11:05.  Kids in attendance will be invited on the field for Kids Read on the Field prior to the game, during which select T-Bones players will read to them.  There is also a thunderstix giveaway and Post-Game Catch on the Field presented by Learning Quest.

The T-Bones are ready to begin their eighth season in Kansas City and look forward to seeing everyone out at CommunityAmerica Ballpark for another season of FUN…WELL DONE!
