The T-Bones added a run in the fifth when Jimmy Mojica scored on Joynt’s second double, making the score 3-1.

Lake County scored an unearned run in the seventh when Brandon Anderson singled then advanced to second with a stolen base.  After an errant pickoff throw moved him to third, Anthony Esquer brought him home with a sacrifice fly to make the score 3-2.

Knippschild left after surrendering two runs, one earned, on nine hits over six and two-thirds innings. Hamren entered with two outs and two on and induced a ground out to end the inning.

Kansas City broke the game open with five runs in the bottom half of the frame, highlighted by two-run home run by Dwayne White, increasing their lead to 8-2.  Joynt also added his third double of the contest in the inning and later scored on a sacrifice fly.

The Fielders added a run in the eighth off T-Bones reliever Drew Graham as Anderson doubled home Kyle Higgins to cap the scoring at 8-3.  Graham worked one inning, allowing one run on one hit and two walks.  Kyle Dahman pitched a perfect ninth for the T-Bones, striking out two.
