The Kansas City T-Bones will host National Anthem tryouts Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Performers will have the opportunity to audition in front of T-Bones front office staff members for the chance to perform the National Anthem before a T-Bones home game.
The T-Bones will audition the first 50 people who sign up through the team's office by contacting Emily Hoskins, Director of Promotions, at 913-328-5641 or e-mail at email@example.com. All interested applicants must RSVP to Emily in advance to reserve a time to audition. Audition times are based on a first come, first served basis.
All performances must be a cappella or instrumental. Only traditional renditions of the national anthem will be considered for selection. Performers chosen by the T-Bones to perform at CommunityAmerica Ballpark will be notified of their selection no later than two weeks after the auditions.
Performances of the Canadian National Anthem, "Oh, Canada" will also be considered for any games when the T-Bones host the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The T-Bones will also consider performances of “God Bless America.”
"The National Anthem auditions are a great event that gives some talented people the opportunity to perform in front of a large crowd at the ballpark this season,” said Hoskins.
School bands and choirs wishing to perform the National Anthem can contact the T-Bones Group Sales Department by calling 913.328.5623 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The T-Bones begin their 2011 campaign against the El Paso Diablos in El Paso, TX on May 12 and will host the Gary SouthShore RailCats in their home opener on May 17.
