The Kansas City T-Bones have finalized their 2012 home exhibition schedule with the addition of a game against former T-Bone Jonathan Krysa’s semi-pro Lee’s Summit Monarchs team on Tuesday, May 8 at 7:05 p.m.
The game against the Monarchs will open the exhibition portion of the T-Bones’ 10th anniversary season, and welcomes the legendary Krysa back to begin the season-long festivities! The all-time leader in appearances, games started, shutouts, innings and strikeouts, Krysa is the only T-Bone to be selected as Pitcher of the Year (2006). He still holds the single-game strikeout record for the team, and posted the top three single-season strikeout totals in T-Bones history from 2004-06.
The T-Bones will take the field again on Wednesday, May 9 as they continue the exhibition portion of their 10th anniversary season against the KCK All-Stars, a collection of local talent and KCKCC alum. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
Then, on Tuesday, May 15 the T-Bones will open a 5:00 p.m. doubleheader with a seven-inning game against the rival Lincoln Saltdogs. Following the completion of that contest, Kansas City will take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes in another seven-inning game.
Kansas City opens the 2012 season with a four-game interleague set against the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League on Thursday, May 17. Season tickets and mini-plan packages are on sale now by calling 913-328-5618. Single-game tickets will go on sale in late-March.
