07/14/2004 1:45 PM - KANSAS CITY T-Bones relief pitcher D.J. Johnson will represent the South Division in the 2004 Northern League All-Star game, the league office announced Wednesday. Johnson, who was an all-star last season, leads Kansas City with nine saves.
South Division all-star manager Isom of the Joliet Jackhammers selected Johnson (0-4, 4.44) to replace Schaumburg left-hander Anthony Boughner, who was sold to the Cincinnati Reds organization Monday. The all-star activities will begin Monday night in Joliet with a skills competition and continue with the All-Star game Tuesday night at 7:15. Johnson will join designated hitter Eddie Pearson as the T-Bones representatives in the mid-season classic.
