05/31/2005 4:50 PM - The Kansas City T-Bones (6-4) return to CommunityAmerica Ballpark to open a nine-game homestand starting Tuesday night. The T-Bones will begin with a three-game set against Lincoln (6-4) Tuesday night at 7:05 before hosting Schaumburg (3-7) starting Friday. The home stand concludes when the expansion Calgary Vipers visit CommunityAmerica for three games beginning on June 6. The nine-game homestand is the longest of the season.
Tuesday night's match-up is the first meeting of the regular season between the T-Bones and the Saltdogs. Lincoln enters Tuesday's game riding a two-game losing streak and finds themselves locked in a three-way tie for second place in the South Division along with the T-Bones. Lincoln's Cory Harris brings his league-leading .476 to town and fellow slugger Mike Goss is hitting a sizzling .432.
Kansas City designated hitter Eddie Pearson is living up to his billing as one of the Northern League's most feared hitters. The Kansas City slugger leads the league in both home runs (6) and RBI (14) and also sports the league's best slugging percentage (.909). Last week alone, Pearson went a blistering 8-for-23, smacking four homers and driving in eleven runs.
