05/20/2006 10:42 PM - Schaumburg, Ill. The bats were quiet once again for the T-Bones as they dropped their second-straight game in a 5-2 loss to the Shaumburg Flyers Saturday at Alexian Field.
Kansas Citys offense struck first as Michael Spidale singled in the first, and advanced to second thanks to sloppy fielding on the part of the Shaumburg left fielder. A bunt by Gabby Delgado moved Spidale to third before being driven in by Greg Jacobs.
Schaumburg didnt have any problems with T-Bones starter Jonathan Krysa. The Flyers answered right back with a run in the bottom of the first, leaving the game tied at one after just an inning of play.
After watching Schaumburg score two more runs in the bottom of the third, the T-Bones put another run across the plate in the top of the fourth. Greg Jacobs put himself on base with a double. He would be hit in later that inning by Charles Peterson.
The T-Bones bats would be silent for the rest of the game, as the final 18 hitters were sat down in order by Schaumburg pitchers.
Kansas City finished with just four runs in the contest while giving up 13 to Schaumburg.. Krysa, who gave up nine hits and three runs in his six innings of work, was saddled with the loss, his first of the season.
The T-Bones and Flyers will finish the four-game series Sunday afternoon. Larry Robles will take the mound for the good guys. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:05 at Alexian Field in Schaumburg.
