05/27/2006 10:10 PM - Fargo, N.D. - The Kansas City T-Bones (3-6) got a great outing from starter Greg Bicknell (pictured), but were unable to capitalize on eleven hits and fell 2-1 to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, N.D.
Bicknell (L, 1-2) threw 7 2/3 innings in sustaining his second loss of the season. The veteran righty allowed just two runs on seven hits in the hard-luck loss, but allowed the go-ahead run in the eighth when Fargo's Richard Austin scored on a Ruben Salazar single.
Fargo scored first in the game, with Eric Kofler's one-out double in the second followed by an Allen Mottram single against Bicknell. The T-Bones tied the game in the sixth when Blake Whealy (3-4, R) scored on a single by Craig Hurba (2-4, RBI). The RBI single followed a single to center by Whealy that resulted in Eddie Pearson (2-4) being thrown out at home by Joe Mathis and Whealy ending up on third.
The T-Bones and RedHawks conclude their series at 2:05 pm tomorrow. The game may be heard in Kansas City on KCSP 610 AM or on the Web by clicking the "Listen Live" link on www.tbonesbaseball.com.
