T-Bones Ink Another Part of ‘Five for Five’ Trade

04/26/2007 2:22 PM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The T-Bones announced today the signing of pitcher Matt Schweitzer. Schweitzer was part of a deal that sent five T-Bones to the Schaumburg Flyers in exchange for five players from the Flyers. The Flyers received J.D. Foust and Larry Robles in exchange for Schweitzer. He complied a 3.58 ERA in 50 games last year. He struck out 82 and walked 22 in 83 innings, all in relief. Schweitzer recorded a career high 108 strikeouts in 2005 while pitching for the Richmond Roosters of the independent Frontier League.

Choice Cuts:
The T-Bones announced today the official release of Zach Norman, Doug Dreher, Buddy Blair and Hank Woodman. Each played just one season for Kansas City.
