05/06/2007 10:53 AM - Ballgame To Raise Money for Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas City
May 4, 2007 (Kansas City, KS)—The Kansas City T-Bones will host baseball legends including Willie Wilson, Amos Otis, Frank White, Dave Parker, Fergie Jenkins, and Ozzie Smith in the second annual Willie Wilson T-Bones Classic at CommunityAmerica Ballpark this summer.
Part of the proceeds from the exhibition game will go to the Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas City.
Last year’s exhibition game coincided with the Northern League All-Star Game. This year the All-Star Game will be played in Fargo. But the ‘Classic’ will be back in Kansas City July 14th.
“Last year’s game was a huge success,” says T-Bones General Manager Rick Muntean. “And we’re thrilled to bring back that same incredible fan experience this year.”
Players who have already committed to playing in the ‘Classic’ include: Willie Wilson, Frank White, Amos Otis, John Mayberry, Ozzie Smith, Bert Campaneris, Bobby Dernier, Al Fitzmorris, Fergie Jenkins, Dave Parker, Greg Pryor, J.R. Richards, Ron Robinson, and Steve Trout.
Other players will be added to the lineup throughout the spring and summer.
“We’re proud to partner with Willie Wilson Baseball to bring players of this caliber to Kansas City,” Muntean said. “Willie’s connections and his commitment to improving our community will mean a great fan experience and, we hope, a lot of support for the Children’s Miracle Network, Kansas City.”
Tickets will range from $8 to $16.50 and as always at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, parking is free.
