INTERNSHIPS & SEASONAL POSITIONS
The Kansas City T-Bones have a variety of seasonal part-time and internship positions open!

 
Group Tickets Coordinator – Internship (unpaid) – Spring 2018
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Assist in client database management; e-mail marketing campaigns, various ticket sales drives
Assist with renewal of groups – suites, decks, group tickets, and more
Assist in creating/designing various promotional materials 
Conduct marketing research on various other teams/leagues 
Answer incoming telephone calls, emails, and assists fans visiting the Ticket Office
Assist department with all projects that arise, varying in nature from mailings to game day and special events and data entry to cold calls 
Communicate team schedules, routine questions such as game day questions, upcoming promotions, and other season ticket holder benefit information as needed through email, mail and phone
Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Photoshop skills are a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support daily Box Office operations; answer incoming telephone calls, mail, emails, and fans visiting the Box Office 
Manage execution of special programs, including: Donation Requests, Host Families, Reading Program, Kid’s Club, and more
Service fulfillment of Season Ticket and Flex Plan benefits
Oversee follow up of ticket initiatives, including: Groupon, Flash Sales, and more
Coordinate special events per agreements within special programs
Aid department in various projects as they arise, including: mailings, game day and special events, and data entry
Communicate effectively with full-time staff and seasonal staff as required
Assist in creation of promotional materials as needed
Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office

Group Tickets Coordinator – Internship (unpaid) - Summer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work T-Bones home games
Coordinate preparation and execution for specific game day programs, including: baseball buddies, first pitch ceremonies, performances on the field, color guard, scout nights, and more
Assist in set-up and preparation of group areas for game days
Assist in creating/designing various promotional materials 
Conduct marketing research on various other teams/leagues 
Assistance with Event Management – T-Bones Games/High School Games/Tournaments, College Games, and ballpark rentals - night and evening work may be required
Answer incoming telephone calls, emails, and assists fans visiting the Ticket Office
Answer incoming telephone call from the groups’ line; assist in booking group outings such as suites, party decks, etc.
Use TicketReturn to sell single game tickets, season ticket plans, group tickets, and receive payments for all transactions
Use Score CRM to make sales contracts for any and all group ticket sales transactions.
Assist department with all projects that arise, varying in nature from mailings to game day and special events to data entry

Grounds Crew/Turf Management- Internship (paid) - Summer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in daily aspects of the grounds operation including Pre/Post Game Work
Specific duties shall include, but not be limited to:
Clay work including infield skin, mounds, home plates, and warning track
Turf work including fertilizer and pesticide application, mowing and edging
All cultural practices- mowing, aerification, irrigation, topdressing, slicing
Basic Equipment Maintenace
Irrigation scheduling and repair
Tarp handling and weather situations
Use of a push mower, weed eater, and blower to maintain the berms
Facilitate set up for baseball and non-baseball related events on the field
Monitor and maintain an inventory of supplies
Upkeep of dugouts, tunnel, and trash

Qualifications
Enrolled in college or have a college degree
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Excellent work ethic, available to work long flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings based on needs of business
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Media Relations Coordinator – Internship  (unpaid) - Summer
Media Relations Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Assist with designing and preparing daily game notes

Assist with designing and updating media guide
Assist with updating Website and social media sites
Write daily game stories and other features for Website
Assist with media requests, including gathering photos and stats, preparing credentials, etc.
Assist with maintaining Media Relations files
Contact news outlets nightly with game scores
Conduct interviews with players, coaches and front-office personnel for written and video stories
Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with CMS web systems. Video editing skills are a plus. Access to a laptop computer is a must.

Merchandise Coordinator – Internship (unpaid) - Summer

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage daily Meat Locker Team Store operations; receiving and processing inventory, emails, fans visiting the Meat Locker Team Store
Assist in the merchandise ordering process; including design 
Support in floor plan layout and merchandising products
Coordinate special offers and promotions; including: Second Inning Sizzle, theme night merchandise, and more
Aid department in various projects as they arise, including: phone an email orders, game day and special events, and inventory
Communicate effectively with full-time staff and seasonal staff as required
Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Office

Promotions/Marketing – Internship (unpaid) - SUMMER
 
Promotions and Marketing interns will report to the Director of Promotions and Public Relations.

The Promotions Department at the Kansas City T-Bones is an energetic bunch dedicated to entertaining T-Bones baseball fans all summer. During the season, the job ranges from actively engaging with fans, to hosting competitions throughout the ballpark, to enhancing the game day experience and being as interactive as possible to ensure family fun…well done!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Implement overall promotional schedule, giveaways, etc.
-Assist in organizing special game day events (ex: 1st pitches, theme nights, special celebrity guest appearances, National Anthem performers, pre-game/post-game concerts, events, etc.)
-Promote the team at numerous events throughout the Metro area
-Assist in player appearances and Sizzle (mascot) appearances
-Select and instruct contestants for in-between inning promotions occurring on the field
-Help create and implement new promotional ideas for the baseball club
-Assist the Director of Promotions with all other general office duties

Social Media/Public Relations—Internship (unpaid) - SUMMER

Social Media and Public Relations interns will report to the Director of Promotions and Public Relations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Assisting in updating the T-Bones four social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat) in a timely, consistent manner, during the entire season
-Updating the Twitter with play by plays during ALL games, whether home or away.
-Create promotional graphics and end of game score graphics to place on social media outlets
-Assist with gathering stats and other baseball related information for the Director of Media Relations
-Must have a familiarity with baseball terminology
-Must be skilled in the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator
-Must own a personal laptop
