T-Bones Mourn Loss of Host Grandmother

The Kansas City T-Bones would like to offer their heartfelt condolences to the family of Mary Verna Jackson, 79, who passed away earlier this month after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Mary, along with her daughter Verna Worrall, served as a host family for the T-Bones during the 2009 season.  She attended every T-Bones home game this season, joining Verna who has been a host mom for two seasons.  The players she hosted would always take time to find her cheering among her fellow T-Bones fans.

T-Bones players Craig Hurba, Jim Fasano, Neb Brown, Weston Curles, and Cody McAllister were named as honorary pallbearers.  As her pallbearers carried her out of the chapel, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” was played by the church organist.
