KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones lost their fourth straight and final game of the series against Fargo-Moorhead, as the RedHawks scored in each of the last six innings and won 15-2 Monday night at Community America Ballpark.

Both teams remained scoreless until the fourth inning, when Josh Mazzola’s solo home run put the RedHawks on the board. Brian Humphries and Ryan Wagner each singled, Humphries then made it 2-0 when he scored on a single by Kes Carter. Bryan Johns’ single to right field sent Wagner home and gave Fargo a 3-0 lead.
Kansas City answered with two runs of its own in the bottom of the fourth. Tyler Massey opened the inning with a single and Jake Blackwood followed with a homer to left field, bringing the score to 3-2.
A series of errors by the T-Bones helped the RedHawks make it 5-2 in the fifth. After Ryan Pineda singled to center, he advanced to second on a wild pitch. Two pitches later, Keury De La Cruz singled and Pineda scored on an error by second baseman Brett Wiley. The next batter, Mazzola, singled to right, but Kansas City right fielder Starlin Rodriguez mishandled the ball, which allowed De La Cruz to reach third. He scored the second unearned run of the inning when K.D. Kang grounded out to Wiley.
After they scored one run in the sixth, the RedHawks sent 10 to the plate in the seventh, scoring five more runs against relievers Evan DeLuca and Brett Zawacki, and making the score 11-2. The T-Bones allowed another four runs in the final two innings. With Kansas City’s bullpen depleted, the T-Bones brought in third baseman Brandon Tierney to pitch the ninth. He didn’t allow a hit, but he walked three and allowed one run.
With the win, the RedHawks sweep the four-game series, outscoring the T-Bones, 47-21.
Kansas City (14-23) will head out for a three-game series at Lincoln beginning Tuesday night at 6:35. All of the action can be heard online at
